Terms of Service & Warranty
Effective date: September 16, 2026 · Decatur Solution Works LLC · 2318 Newgate Drive, Decatur, GA 30035
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern appliance repair, installation and maintenance services provided by Decatur Solution Works LLC ("we," "us," or "our") to customers in Decatur, GA and Metro Atlanta, and your use of decatursolutionworks.com. By booking an appointment, submitting a form, or accepting service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Booking & Appointments
Requests submitted online or by phone are confirmed by our dispatcher by phone, text or email. Appointment windows are estimates; we will notify you if a technician is running early or late. Please ensure an adult (18+) is present and that the appliance is accessible and, where safe, unplugged or turned off before we arrive.
You may cancel or reschedule at no charge with at least 2 hours' notice. Same-day cancellations after the technician is en route, or no-shows, may be charged the diagnostic fee.
2. Diagnostic Fee & Pricing
- Residential diagnostic: $89. Covers the trip and a full diagnosis of one appliance. If you approve the repair, the $89 is credited toward the repair total.
- Commercial service call: $250 (flat, per visit). This is a separate service-call fee and is not deducted from the repair cost.
- All repairs are quoted flat-rate in writing before work begins. There are no hourly surprises — the price you approve is the price you pay, unless you approve additional work.
- Parts are billed at our quoted price and remain our property until paid in full. Special-order parts may require a deposit and are non-refundable once ordered.
3. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the repair unless commercial Net-30 terms have been approved in writing. We accept major credit and debit cards, cash and approved commercial accounts. Returned payments or unpaid balances over 30 days may incur a $35 fee and 1.5% monthly interest as permitted by Georgia law, plus reasonable collection costs.
4. Repair Warranty
We stand behind our work with a written warranty on every repair:
- 90 days on labor and the specific repair performed.
- 90 days on parts we supply, extended to one year on most new OEM (manufacturer) parts where the manufacturer provides a one-year part warranty.
- If the same failure recurs within the warranty period, we return and correct it at no charge for labor or the covered part.
The warranty does not cover: unrelated failures or different components on the same appliance; damage from misuse, accident, power surges, flooding, pests, improper installation by others or lack of routine maintenance; cosmetic issues; appliances that were declined for repair; customer-supplied parts; or appliances that have been serviced by another party after our repair. Sealed-system (compressor/refrigerant) repairs on units older than 12 years are warranted for 30 days.
To make a warranty claim, call (678) 525-0474 with your original invoice number. Warranty service is scheduled with the same priority as new appointments.
5. Parts Availability & Repair Recommendations
Some parts are discontinued or back-ordered by manufacturers. If a required part is unavailable, we will tell you promptly and you will owe only the diagnostic fee. When a repair is not economical we will say so and may recommend replacement; that recommendation is advisory only and we are not responsible for the performance of appliances we did not repair.
6. Limitation of Liability
We are licensed, insured and EPA 608 certified. Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific repair. We are not liable for food spoilage, water damage discovered before our arrival, lost time, or other indirect or consequential damages, except where caused by our proven negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
7. Access to Your Property
By booking you grant our technician permission to enter the service address, move the appliance as needed, and take photos of the appliance and model/serial labels for diagnosis and warranty records. We take reasonable care to protect floors and surroundings and will report any incidental damage immediately.
8. Website Use
Content on decatursolutionworks.com is for general information and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis. Prices shown online are starting points and may vary by appliance, brand and location. We may update the website, these Terms and our pricing at any time; the effective date above shows the latest revision.
9. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any dispute will first be addressed in good faith by contacting us directly; unresolved disputes will be brought in the courts of DeKalb County, Georgia.
